Year of the Rabbit
Chinese New Year is this Thursday. I’m so sad that we don’t get a day off here. I rather have a day off on Chinese New Year than on Christmas Day.
This year, some of the Gunawans are re-uniting at Chicago for a little CNY celebration. Not all the cousins that are in the U.S. will be there, but a good portion will be. I’m excited! It’s been a while.

Makgeolli is a milky-colored rice wine which I’ve seen Korean celebrities post on their Twitters. I saw bottles of it last Friday at the H-Mart (a Korean grocery store). I want to try it!

Tossing and turning in bed, my nose is runny.
It does not seem like an ordinary runny nose. The coppery taste of blood.
